Anthony Mensah AJANO COO, Anthony Mensah student at Choate Rosemary Hall

Anthony Mensah, COO

Anthony grew up on a farm in Cape Coast where he learned the value of communities contributing to achieve set goals. 

As AJANO's Chief Operating Officer, Anthony coordinates AJANO projects that require physical labor and volunteer cooperation, such as the 20,000 Calories Project.

Academically, he is focused on food security solutions and breaking down plastic pollution to restore soil fertility.

Akosua Asante, VP Communications

Akosua's strength is speaking with people. She manages outgoing AJANO communications, coordinates community surveys and is the voice behind the AJANO Annual Report that our donors receive.

An excellent singer, Akosua performs original compositions at AJANO events to make the message more memorable for the audience

She believes that for Ghana to change, young people must become more introspective. We have to look around us and think to ourselves, "what can I do to change the world?" This is why Akosua is also the lead for the Think Deeper Writing Competition.

John Mensah, VP Technology

John is passionate about Technology In Problem Solving and works on all AJANO technology needs. He is also the lead on the AJANO app which aims to connect low-income Ghanaians with farms and factories who have surplus food they are willing to sell cheap or give away for free.

Now a Lower Six Student in Ghana International School, John is creating solutions to unequal access to computing resources in the most rural areas of Ghana.

John was recently awarded a Global Citizens Initiative Fellowship for pitching the AJANO Tech Hub Project. See More.

Nee is determined to make the future world healthier and safer than it currently is. Nee makes sure that all AJANO's activities follow the highest standards of health and safety.

Now an 10th Grader at Linsly School aiming to become a doctor in the future, Nee is learning skills that he is excited to apply back home in Ghana.
